obama%20mask.jpg

A mask is certainly a fine way to hide your face. It would seem obvious that it doesn’t cover everything else though. Obviously this guy didn’t think it through that far when he robbed a bank in Merrimack, New Hampshire. As reported by The New Hampshire Union Leader:

The bank robber wore a full-face President Obama mask and carried a Walmart shopping bag when he approached a teller and demanded cash Wednesday morning at the Bank of America branch at 356 Daniel Webster Highway.

Okay. So far, so good.

Police said they later determined the man charged with the robbery had a loaded handgun with him, but did not say whether the robber displayed the weapon during the robbery.

Not cool.

When police responded to the bank at 10:38 a.m., they learned a man wearing a mask, suitcoat, tie, jeans and gloves had demanded money from a teller and left with an undetermined amount of cash.

So he got away. Or … did he?

Witness descriptions pointed officers in the direction the robber had gone. Police Lt. Paul Trepaney went to the area of Columbus Circle, where he spotted a man matching the description of the robber — except for the President Obama mask — coming from behind one of the businesses.

This post could be called “everything but the mask.” Brilliant execution!

After what police described as a brief investigation, officers took the man, identified as John Griffin Jr., 52, of 186 S. Main St., Newport, into custody.

Dude probably still had the Walmart bag.

Griffin was charged with robbery and is being held on $75,000 cash-only bail at the Valley Street Jail, pending a probable cause hearing Sept. 20 in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.

Anyone over the age of, oh, maybe 6, knows that sometimes kids say things that aren’t true for a variety of reasons. A Kansas City mom took her 6-year-old son at his word, and she ran with it. The Juice is here to tell you, that was a HUGE mistake. As reported by KCTV:

An angry mother confronted her son’s teacher and hit her in the face, jerked her hair and rammed her head against a file cabinet, according to a Kansas City Police Department report.

Bam! That teacher must have done something really awful to the boy right? Here’s how it started.

The teacher told police that Baker entered her classroom “and wanted to talk to her about what her son stated (the teacher) did to him in class earlier today.”

The teacher said if she wanted to speak with her and the principal that she would need to return on Friday. She said the woman was demanding and headed to the principal’s office where she reportedly created the scene before returning to the teacher’s class. The woman said she was upset over something that the teacher had done to her son earlier in the day.

Uh-oh.

“You better not touch my kid again,” Baker yelled to the teacher, according to the police report. The mother was reportedly upset about a scratch on her 6-year-old son’s neck that she claimed the teacher inflicted. The child had been disciplined earlier in the day.

So what did mom do?

The woman ran behind the teacher’s desk and “struck her in the face with an open fist 5 to 10 times as she held” the teacher’s arm down to her side, the report says. She then grabbed the teacher “by her hair and picked her up out of the chair and struck her head against a file cabinet two times.” She then fled from the classroom.

Shazam! Oh, and about that scratch …

District officials said Friday night that the boy’s father brought the boy to school Friday, and that the boy recanted his story. The district said the boy admitted the teacher had not hurt or scratched him.

Um. Er. Uh. Well … sorry? My bad? Ms. Baker is in a lot of trouble. You can read more (a little) and see the news story here.

True, it was a really, really small gun. (Yes, the gun in the above video works, as you’ll see if you watch it.) But when you’re trying to board a plane, size doesn’t matter as this gent found out. As reported by wmbf.com:

Officers with the Transportation Security Administration found a loaded gun in a backpack at Myrtle Beach International Airport.

A 59-year-old Murrells Inlet man, David Joyner Kelly, was arrested and charged with carrying concealable weapons into certain restricted areas, a misdemeanor.

The gun was a 9mm, loaded with two bullets. It was found in the backpack of the passenger at the security checkpoint on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Maybe it’s a misdemeanor because of the size of the gun? To see the gun, and the perp, click here.

Old folks like The Juice, especially (and almost exclusively) men, often quote from Animal House. As Dean Wormer said: “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life …” When you look at her mug shot, you’ll see that “fat” doesn’t apply. “Drunk” definitely does. As for “stupid,” judge for yourself. Per The Orlando Sentinel:

An Oviedo Police Department officer who was assisting with security before UCF’s [University of Central Florida] first football game of the season against University of Akron got several reports of a woman urinating inside Parking Garage H.

Uh-oh.

When he went to check it out, he found Kristine Johnson of Sarasota naked from the waist down. She is not a UCF student, university officials said.

If you think she went along quietly …

When police commanded her to pull her shorts back on, she complied, her arrest report said. But throughout the rest of the encounter, police say, Johnson resisted arrest by pushing officers away, picking fights with strangers and yelling and cursing repeatedly.

When she was arrested, officials say, she spit on the doors and walls of her holding cell and cursed and yelled at officers.

Well, someone needs to learn some manners! The charges?

She faces multiple charges, including exposure of sexual organs, disorderly conduct and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Oh, and one more thing. She was banned from UCF! Here’s the source, including a mug shot.

car%20accident.jpg

While there is never a good time to be involved in a car accident, as will be made abundantly clear, some times are definitely worse than others. As reported at nj.com:

A 2002 white Mercury Mountaineer rolled over into the center grass median and struck the guardrail on July 29, with police and emergency workers responding around 12:56 p.m. Driver Paulette Murray, 48, of Brooklyn, N.Y., told police she failed to control the SUV after another car cut her off, authorities said.

Yikes, a roll over.

Items that had been inside the car before the accident were scattered at the scene, and the package of marijuana, police said, was lying where EMS and troopers were walking around.

Marijuana? How much marijuana?

At the scene, troopers said they observed [passenger] Douglas-Dawkins attempting to cover a damaged cardboard box with a blanket. The box contained a large package of marijuana with fabric softener inside to mask the smell, State Police said.

A large package you say. How large? 57 pounds large! Like The Juice said, not the best time to have an accident. You can read more, and see photos of the SUV and the scene here.

Police officers occasionally exercise bad judgment, just like everyone else. But this? Whoa. As reported by clickOrlando.com (WKMG – Local 6):

A Daytona Beach Police Sergeant has resigned after admitting to posting nude pictures of herself online while on-duty.

Lots and lots of nude pictures.

Sgt. Penny Dane has been in law enforcement for approximately 18 years and has been a sergeant with Daytona Beach police for the past four years.

According to an internal affairs investigation, Sgt. Dane admitted she accessed and sent sexually explicit pictures as part of an online game called “Red Light Center.” The game is likened to a virtual sex club and resembles Amsterdam’s Red Light district.

drunk%20man.jpg

How drunk was he? Pretty darned drunk. Per The New Hampshire Union Leader:

Authorities received a call from a Kingston Court homeowner who reported that a man she did not know had walked into her bedroom.

Uh-oh.

Police responded to the home and found [Ryan] Maszczak [35] asleep in a bed, according to a release.

“Maszczak was intoxicated and appeared to have walked into the wrong residence,” police said in the release.

Oops. The charges?

He was arrested [for criminal trespass] and later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. He will be arraigned Aug. 9 at the 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.

Can’t think of a defense for this one, although to be fair to Mr. Maszczak, The Juice is a personal injury lawyer, not a criminal lawyer. You’ll find the source here, complete with a mug shot.

The first rule of criminal activity could easily be: Don’t talk about the criminal activity. It should go without saying that you don’t want to post MORE THAN 36 YOUTUBE VIDEOS about your criminal activity! Now you know … but it’s too late for this guy. As reported by The New Hampshire Union Leader:

A former Auburn man who showed off the progress of his marijuana growing operation on YouTube with more three dozen videos before he was arrested by deputy sheriffs has agreed to plead guilty instead of going on trial.

Kyle Berry, 41, filed a notice to plead guilty to drug charges stemming from his arrest in November for allegedly growing $16,000 worth of marijuana in his home.

Guess how they caught him. Wrong! Here’s how:

He first got the attention of the Rockingham Sheriffs Drug Task Force late last year after posting a series of videos about his indoor marijuana growing operation. One video captured the reflection of Berry’s face on a foil covered wall.

Investigators matched that image with a prior booking photo, used it as evidence to obtain arrest and search warrants.

Boom! Is it just The Juice, or does this seem like something you would see on TV? You can read more about Mr. Berry’s troubles here.

car%20crashing%20building%20crash.jpg

It may seem hard to believe, but people drive their cars into houses pretty much every day. Often times, not surprisingly, alcohol is a factor. It appears that was the case here too. Unfortunately for this gent, he crashed a party, literally, and they were not pleased. As reported by komonews.com (Seattle, Washington):

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a possible drunk driver in the area of Military Road East and 13th Avenue Court East just after 11 p.m., said sheriff’s spokesperson Det. Ed Troyer. The driver ultimately blew through a intersection at Military and B Street, then drove straight through a wooden fence and collided with the front porch of a home in the 15100 block of 2nd Avenue East, Troyer said.

Er, sorry?

“Some of the partygoers, who had also been drinking, promptly got down, took the driver out of the car, assaulted him and gave him a pretty good beating,” Troyer said.

That there’s what you call an understatement. He was beaten unconscious.

Neighbors in the area heard the whole thing unfold. “I hear ‘Drag him out of the car. Let’s kill this mother (expletive),'” said Rob Davidson.

Not exactly a proportionate response.

Davidson said he tried to check on the man as more than a dozen people attacked him.

“They have the guy out of the car and they’re kicking him while he’s on the ground,” he said.

A combat veteran who has served in Afghanistan, Davidson tried to protect the driver. “I put myself in the way, wanting them to focus more of their attention on me than on the man so they didn’t kill him,” he said.

The cops are here, so it’s over. No?

Deputies arrived, found the driver unconscious next to the car and told the partygoers to step back, but several in the group refused to comply and charged the deputies, Troyer said.

Perhaps that’s not too surprising since they wanted to kill a guy for wrecking a porch.

“We arrived and almost had a mini-riot, and had to pepper spray to clear the crowd,” Troyer said.

Yikes.

The deputies used an entire can of pepper spray to get the crowd to move back, then arrested two men for investigation of assault on the driver. Meanwhile, the driver was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries and will be arrested for investigation of DUI, Troyer said.

Troyer says in those situations, it’s best to leave the justice to law enforcement.

Ya think? Here’s the source, with a video.
